Bread selection
Our sourdough bread has a full two day process. We don't use any commercial yeasts or preservatives and only use organic or ethically sourced flours. Our sourdough is all hand moulded and baked on the sole of the oven to give an amazing crust and flavour.

Made from 50% wholemeal spelt flour and 50% white spelt flour, no yeast or nasty preservatives. This is one of our favourites here at Essential Grain. A delicious white sourdough with kalamata olives and Italian herbs. We only bake this treasure on Friday to send to our local Farmers Markets so it is only available once a week

Fruit Loaf
This is one of our biggest sellers. Loaded up with an abundance of dried fruit including apricots, dates, sultanas & currants and Indonesian spice mix. You will find on the menus in many of the top restaurants and cafes on the Sunshine Coast. One slice and your hooked.

Other than sourdough also specialise in making many delicious types of bread from many regions of the world. We only use traditional methods to achieve the right results with each type of bread.
Ciabatta
This is a classic Italian loaf from the Veneto region of Italy. This artisan bread has an open crumb and chewy crust with a slightly sour taste. It is amazing toasted, grilled or eaten fresh. This is the bread Italians use for bruschetta

Turkish Pide Bread
Traditional Pide is a national favourite in Turkey, being consumed for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Traditionally cooked in a clay oven and brushed with oil once baked this bread is truely irresistible. Our Pide is baked on the stone sole of our oven and moulded the same way the Turkish bakers do theirs, no cutting corners here. That's why our bread is full of air pockets light and fluffy, not doughy and dense

Rolls
Essential Grain Bakery has a number of specialty rolls made to order. We don't have your normal run of the mill rolls available, instead we choose to offer something a little different
Turkish Pide Rolls
These babies are the same as our amazing Turkish Bread only smaller. Available in packets of 10 in a burger size or baby burger size, they are perfect for lunches, burgers and sandwich press

These are mini versions of our large ciabatta loaf. In a 200g or 120g they area great individual alternative to the large ciabatta.
